Occupational Therapy assists people of all ages and abilities to do the things they want to do in life, such as self-care (i.e. showering, dressing, grooming), productivity (work or school) and leisure activities.
Our Occupational Therapists will complete an individual assessment so they can understand what activities of daily life are important to you, any current issues you may have in doing them, and understanding your goals. They will then recommend interventions to address the limitations which can include providing education to build knowledge and skills, looking at new ways to do an activity or looking at changing the environment to make it more suitable. Occupational Therapists can also prescribe equipment or devices to help you to complete the activities you would like to do. We are able to see clients in our clinic, their homes or in a community setting.
